Bodrum Municipality has signed a new co-operation agreement to improve the welfare of companion animals in our district and to strengthen safe, responsible adoption pathways. The protocol has been concluded together with the Bodrum City Council Working Group for Protecting Animals’ Right to Life and KÖPKE (the Dog & Cat Rehoming Platform), with the shared aim of helping stray animals find safe, informed and permanent homes. Under the agreement, our Directorate of Veterinary Services carries out health checks and ensures animals are appropriately prepared for adoption. In addition, we support public information and awareness efforts by sharing the relevant animals’ details and images with the City Council’s working group, helping to connect adoptable animals with prospective owners through transparent communication.
