Following a heavy rainfall warning issued by the Turkish State Meteorological Service, Bodrum Municipality teams carried out cleaning and preventive works in stream beds and other areas within municipal responsibility.
Teams from the Cleaning Services, Parks and Gardens, Public Works, and Support Services directorates worked in co-ordination with Muğla Metropolitan Municipality to reduce flood risk, undertaking vegetation pruning, litter collection, and clearing and opening stream channels in priority locations.
Gully-inlet cleaning works led by the Directorate of Public Works also continued. In addition, clearing operations were carried out around Kumbahçe seafront, including stormwater lines and stream inlets. Support was provided by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality using an ESPAR vehicle, as well as by Highways Authority teams working on the ring road.
