PENALTIES ISSUED FOR ENVIRONMENTAL LITTERING AND ILLEGAL WASTE DISPOSAL
Bodrum Municipality has taken enforcement action in response to illegal waste disposal incidents reported by residents.
In the İçmeler area of Bodrum, a van-load of waste left around a public waste container was recorded by members of the public. Following a report to the municipality, our teams attended the site, identified the individual responsible and ensured the waste was collected item by item. An official report was prepared for environmental pollution, and the case was referred to the Municipal Executive Committee (Encümen) for further action.
In Güvercinlik, an investigation into rubbish left by the roadside led to the identification of the bus registration plate and the company responsible. Penalty procedures were then applied under the relevant provisions of the Misdemeanours Law.
