TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT STEPPED UP TO IMPROVE PEDESTRIAN SAFETY
With increased pedestrian footfall during the summer season, Bodrum Municipality’s Traffic Enforcement (Zabıta) teams have stepped up inspections targeting motorcycle and scooter riders in high-density areas.
During enforcement operations carried out in 2025, penalty notices totalling 2,619,000 TL were issued to 887 motorcycle riders. In addition, 3,060 vehicles found parked on pavements in a way that obstructed pedestrian and vehicle movement were fined a total of 9,036,000 TL.
