INNOVATIVE FLOATING SEAWATER TREATMENT PLATFORM UNVEILED IN BODRUM
Bodrum Municipality’s Directorate of Climate Change and Zero Waste Solutions has introduced an Innovative Floating Seawater Treatment Platform, developed in partnership with Blue Hybrid Solutions.
Positioned off Bitez Marina, the environmentally friendly platform treats seawater to produce 20 tonnes of clean utility water per day. The treated water is transferred to an onshore 20-tonne storage tank and will be used for irrigating parks and central reservations, as well as in emergencies and, when needed, for public use.
The project is expected to deliver an estimated annual reduction of around 500 tonnes of carbon emissions and water savings of approximately 7,000 tonnes, representing a significant step forward in sustainable water management.
