COMPREHENSIVE CLEAN-UP WORKS CARRIED OUT IN FORESTED AREAS
Bodrum Municipality carried out extensive cleaning works in forested areas to reduce fire risk and improve environmental safety. Led by teams from the Directorate of Cleaning Services, the operation collected pine cones and needles that can increase fire hazard, as well as waste such as glass, cardboard, packaging materials and plastics.
Cleaning was completed along the 2-kilometre walking route in the Pedasa area of Konacık, at the Seyir Hill viewpoint on the Torba ring road, in the Ali Kelle woodland, and at Kabakum Beach. In addition, teams carried out sweeping and wider area cleaning using an octopus suction vehicle along the 3-kilometre route between Çiftlik and the Etrim area of Pınarlıbelen and across approximately 1 kilometre of woodland between Yakaköy and Dereköy.
