The loans provided to the shopkeepers in Bodrum as a lifeline during the fight against the pandemic were effective in overcoming this difficult period.
As the municipality, we have taken municipal council resolutions to support shopkeepers by providing them payment facilities for solid waste, property tax, and occupancy fees. We deferred rent payments for shops owned by the municipality, and we did not charge occupancy and property tax fees during the period, as the businesses were closed. In Bodrum, we did not charge household solid waste disposal fees for closed businesses for 3 months. We also deferred the solid waste disposal fees for businesses and residences.
