SUPPORT FOR SCHOOLS AND STUDENTS CONTINUES

Ahead of the new academic year, Bodrum Municipality carried out comprehensive works across local schools to address maintenance needs and provide safer, more comfortable learning environments for students.
Teams from the Workshops Unit under the Support Services Directorate completed maintenance, repair and refurbishment works at 35 schools. Cabinets, benches and picnic tables were manufactured and delivered to schools where required, alongside painting works.
The Parks and Gardens Directorate carried out pruning, grass clearance and landscaping at 24 schools, while the Cleaning Affairs Directorate completed extensive cleaning works in and around 13 school grounds. The Public Works Directorate also rebuilt a collapsed boundary wall at Gölköy Ahmet Naci Coşkunoğlu Primary School, improving safety for pupils.
Support for education also extends beyond physical improvements. Through the Social Services Unit under the Culture and Social Affairs Directorate, financial support is being provided during the 2025–2026 academic year to successful primary, secondary and high school students from families residing in Bodrum.
Grants of TRY 5,000 are available for primary school pupils, TRY 6,000 for secondary school pupils and TRY 7,000 for high school students. Applications can be submitted with the required documents to the Culture and Social Affairs Directorate, at No. 10 Seyit Onbaşı Avenue, Konacık Neighbourhood, until Friday, 19 September. Ahead of the new academic year, stationery support was also provided to 950 primary school pupils, 350 secondary school pupils and 200 high school students, further strengthening Bodrum Municipality’s support for education.
