EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK ACTIVITIES HELD IN BODRUM

As part of European Mobility Week, Karcı (Doyuran) Street was closed to vehicle traffic on 16–17 September and reserved for pedestrian use. A range of awareness-raising activities was delivered along the street throughout the programme.
Coordinated by Bodrum Municipality’s Directorate of Climate Change and Zero Waste, the programme opened with a cycling parade starting from Gazi Mustafa Kemal Boulevard. Municipal Council Member İdil Ekmekci also joined the parade.
Later in the programme, an adult-focused free yoga session was held at the Şevket Sabancı Culture and Arts Centre, organised by Bodrum Municipality’s Culture and Social Affairs Directorate. Efforts will continue to promote sustainable mobility and to strengthen a healthy, environmentally responsible way of life across Bodrum.
