AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION FACILITIES ARE BEING IMPROVED

Following refurbishment works at the Bahçeyaka Seedling Production Greenhouse, seedling production continues at full capacity under Bodrum Municipality’s Agricultural Services Directorate.
The improvements were undertaken after rising groundwater during the winter months created difficulties in controlling plant diseases and the existing greenhouse floor was found to be unsuitable for seedling production standards. The work was also designed to reduce labour requirements and improve operational efficiency.
As part of the refurbishment, improvements were made to both the flooring and the exterior of the greenhouse, enabling more consistent plant disease control and greater use of automation in seedling production.
