Bodrum Municipality Continues Cultural Tours with a Visit to Myndos Ancient City

Bodrum Municipality's second cultural tour took place on February 23, with a trip to the Myndos Ancient City in Gümüşlük. Organized by the Directorate of Culture & Social Affairs and the ‘Pedasa & Leleg Civilization Research & Application Department’, the event attracted significant participation from local residents.

Led by the archaeologist Serap Topaloğlu, the tour began at the city walls, known as the “King’s Road” by locals, which become visible when the tide recedes. Participants received insights into the city's layout, history and ruins before continuing towards the western harbor, believed to be Myndos' second port, where remains of port structures and a temple-like building were explored.

Mayor Tamer Mandalinci reaffirmed his commitment to supporting projects that preserve and promote the region’s cultural heritage for future generations.
