MAYOR MANDALİNCİ VISITS HATAY TWO YEARS AFTER THE DISASTER

Mayor Tamer Mandalinci traveled to Hatay on the second anniversary of the devastating February 6 earthquakes, meeting with survivors and offering his support.
During his visit on February 6 and 7, Mandalinci held several meetings and toured the ‘Arsuz & Bodrum Sister City - Container City’ founded in Arsuz, Hatay under the leadership of Bodrum Municipality. Muğla Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Aras also participated in the visit, engaging with residents affected by the disaster.
Mayor Mandalinci met with Mayor of Arsuz Sami Üstün and District Governor Hacı Hasan Gökpınar, discussing ongoing efforts in the region. Mandalinci also took part in a food distribution organization at the Arsuz Gözcüler Container Settlement, organized by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality.
Reflecting on his visit, Mayor Mandalinci emphasized the significance of both material and emotional support in overcoming such tragedies.
“As part of our programme, we gathered with citizens in front of Defne Municipality. These meetings remind us that beyond financial aid, moral support is equally vital. The importance of unity and solidarity in healing wounds and rebuilding lives cannot be overstated. We remember those who lost their lives with deep sorrow and hope our nation never experiences such pain again.” Mayor Mandalinci stated.
