Bodrum Municipality’s Zoning and Inspection Teams have ramped up their efforts to ensure public health by conducting detailed inspections of butcher shops, fishmongers and supermarkets across the district.
The inspections, carried out by the Zoning Department, focused on meat and fish counters as well as storage facilities. Particular attention was given to the presence of authorized slaughterhouse stamps, product preservation conditions and any irregularities in color or odor.
To safeguard access to healthy food, inspectors ensured that these establishments met high standards of hygiene and compliance. As part of this initiative, a total of 111 businesses were inspected. Violations were found in 12 establishments, which led to fines being issued in accordance with applicable laws.
