Bodrum Municipality Stands with Mandarin Growers
As part of its efforts to promote the production of Bodrum’s geographically certified mandarins and support local farmers, the municipality will purchase 50 tons of mandarins through its Agricultural Services Directorate. This initiative aims to benefit at least 100 producers across the district, with a maximum purchase limit of 500 kilograms per grower.
The programme not only supports local agriculture but also ensures that every penny of the municipal budget is spent for the greater good of Bodrum. The mandarins will be distributed as follows:
- 20 tons will be handed out for free at the Bodrum Mandarin Festival, taking place in Bitez on December 15, 2024.
- 20 tons will be shared with residents in neighborhood squares.
- 10 tons will be delivered to those in need through local neighborhood representatives.
