BİTEZ MARKETPLACE GOES GREEN: SOLAR ENERGY PROJECT APPROVED

Bodrum Municipality has received the green light for its new Rooftop Solar Energy System Project, designed to support sustainable energy and reduce carbon emissions. This initiative, led by the Climate Change and Zero Waste Directorate, will be implemented at Bitez Marketplace.
The initiative aims to generate eco-friendly energy to meet the marketplace’s power needs while contributing to the reduction of its carbon footprint. Additionally, the project includes the installation of electric vehicle charging stations, further promoting the use of renewable energy and encouraging sustainable transportation among residents.
Mayor Tamer Mandalinci highlighted the significance of the project, emphasizing its role in combating climate change. “Reducing the carbon footprint, which threatens natural life through global warming, is a priority for us. We are committed to launching and completing this project promptly to contribute to our sustainable energy goals. Once operational, it will serve as a model for energy sustainability in the region”, Mandalinci stated.
