GREAT LEADER ATATÜRK COMMEMORATED ON THE 86th ANNIVERSARY OF HIS PASSING

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founding father of the Republic of Türkiye, was commemorated on the 86th anniversary of his passing.

As in the rest of the country, independent and contemporary Turkish Republic’s Founder Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was commemorated with a series of events in Bodrum. As part of the Atatürk Commemoration Programme, held at Municipality Square, the ceremony saw the attendance of Bodrum District Governer Mustafa Çit, CHP Muğla Deputies Süreyya Öneş Derici, Bodrum Garrison Commander Colonel Ayhan Ulutaş, Deputy Mayor General Coordinator Emel Çakaloğlu representing Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, Bodrum chief prosecutor of the republic Hasan Dalak, representatives of the state institutions, leaders and administration level of political parties, deputy mayors, director of municipal departments and personnel, NGOs, veterans, teachers, students and a great number of citizens.

The ceremony began with a wreath-laying presentation at the Atatürk statue, at 09:05, the time of Atatürk's passing, with accompanied by sirens broadcast over municipal loudspeakers. After a two-minute moment of silence, the Turkish National Anthem was sung. Following the commemoration ceremony , organization with Bodrum Municipality dispensed lokma for the soul Commander-in-Chief Atatürk and his comrades in arms at Bodrum Municipality Square. The ceremony events continue with program organized by the Bodrum district governership ,at 10.30 pm, at Heredot Culture Center.

Atatürk Commemoration Ceremony Events in Mumcular

As part of the 10th of November Commemoration Ceremony events , commemoration programme was held with the contributions of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, Bodrum Municipality, Karaova, Mumcular and Gölbaşı Neighbourhood Heads in Mumcular.

The events after the "Atatürk's Favorite Songs" concert performed by Mumcular Local Choir at 19.00, ended with the Atatürk movie screening at 19.40.
