HONORING ATATÜRK: A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR TAMER MANDALİNCİ
In commemoration of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s passing 86 years ago, Mayor Tamer Mandalinci shared a heartfelt message, reflecting on the enduring legacy of Türkiye’s founding leader and visionary.

“Atatürk, the architect of the independent and free Republic of Türkiye, is not just a leader but a symbol that lives in the spirit of our nation. He exists not only in the teachings, stories or photographs but in the very soil we walk on, the trees we touch, the wheat we plant, the future before every child and in the hopeful gaze of every young person. To us, Atatürk represents Anatolia, our homeland and our future.

Each day, we see the blue of his eyes in our vast seas and the gold of his hair in our fields. The love for our homeland that Atatürk planted in our hearts, and the value he instilled in science, shall never fade. His legacy shall continue to light our way forward.

Reflecting on Atatürk’s enduring words, 'One day, my mortal body will turn to dust, but the Republic of Turkey will live on eternally', We will forge ahead, unwavering in our dedication to freedom, honor, and the future of our nation. We promise to protect, uphold and proudly carry forward the Republic entrusted to us.

We respectfully remember Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades-in-arms and all the heroes who sacrificed for our country. We promise that, thanks to the devoted children of this Republic, our nation shall endure eternally.

With deepest Respect and Gratitude.”
