The “2nd Bodrum&Kos Friendship Concert” took place on the first day of the “5th International Two Coasts Cultural Festival” which was held in cooperation with Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, Bodrum Municipality, Two Coast Cultural Festival Committee and Kumbahçe Neighbourhood Mukhtar.

October 11th on Friday, Mayor of Kos Municipality with members of protocol, was welcomed partipation with Mayor Tamer Mandalinci at Bodrum Port. Following protocol members welcomed at Mayor’s Office. At the evening hours, events continued with entourage walking from Municipality square to Kumbahçe Square, accompanied by Turkish and Greek bands.

While the band performances were followed with interest in the area, artists Lefteris Stefanopoulos and Söylev Ezgi Uludağ provided fun-filled hours with their friendship songs.

The “2nd Bodrum & Kos friendship Concert” was attented by Bodrum District Governer Mustafa Çit, Greece İzmir Consul General Alexandros Konstas, CHP Muğla Deputies, Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, Theodosis Nikitaras, Mayor of Kos and Bodrum and Kos deputy mayors, Municipal Council Members, Celal Cem Dengiz, Head of Foreign Affairs Departments of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, Two Coasts Cultural Festival Committee, Kos and Bodrum Citizens and press members.

The event which was started with stage performance of presenter Ateş, continued with the reading of incoming messages within the scope of Festival to Mayor Tamer Mandalinci.

Giving the first of the opening speeches, Two Coasts Cultural Festival Committee Chairman and Council Member Nil Taşkıran stated that they have been working to ensure the continuity of the festival for five years and thanked everyone for their participation.

Mayor Tamer Mandalinci stated that the first phase of the Friendship Concert took place on Kos Island on September 29th and said, "It is very important for all of us and for the world that these two neighboring towns, facing each other on the two shores of the Aegean, reinforce their friendship, brotherhood and culture with such beautiful cultural events." message. Celal Cem Dengiz, Head of Foreign Relations Department of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, conveyed the message of Ahmet Aras, Mayor of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, and said, "He asked me to convey that we will continue to be guests, stakeholders and hosts of all these events that bring together the cultures on these two coasts of the Aegean Sea."

Two Friends Got Together

While gifts and plaques were presented at the Friendship Concert, a part of the gift was given to Bodrum Mayor Mandalinci in Kos and the other part was given in Bodrum, and the gift with the visual of two friends was appreciated.Greek and Turkish songs were listened to with interest by the participants at the concert, which continued with the duet of Lefteris Stefanopoulos and Söylev Ezgi Uludağ.

In the festival, which will be full of folk dance performances, culinary workshops, fashion shows and discussion on October 12-13, the opening ceremony of the “5th International Two Coasts Cultural Festival” will be held on Saturday, October 12th at 12.30, while the Gala Concert with the magnificent performance of Şevval Sam will be held at 20.30.
