PRESERVING BODRUM'S BLUE: SEABED CLEANING IN GÜVERCİNLİK

The seabed cleaning organized by the Municipality continued along the Güvercinlik coast. The twelfth stage of the Seabed Cleaning, held with the slogan “The Sea Deserves the Most Blue” to protect the seas and natural areas, took place on Wednesday, July 31, along the Güvercinlik coast.
The event, carried out by a volunteer diving team under the organization of Bodrum Municipality’s Support Services and Cleaning Affairs Directorates, was attended by relevant municipal departments’ heads and personnel, as well as the Head of Güvercinlik Neighborhood, Günay Şafak.
In the cleaning event organized to clear the seabed and bays of waste and ensure the sustainability of natural life, the volunteer diving team removed 83 kilograms of waste from the seabed. The waste, exhibited in front of the Güvercinlik Municipal Cafe, was taken to the 1st Class Waste Collection Center for recycling.
The final stage of the Seabed Cleaning Event will continue on Wednesday, August 7, at the Yalıçiftlik coast.
