Relax and Unwind: Sunbeds Reappear on Bodrum’s Beloved Beaches

Bodrum Municipality has started placing sunbeds on public beaches.

Following the directive of Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, sunbeds are being placed on public beaches to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable holiday experience for residents. So far, 1,530 sunbeds have been placed on public beaches, including Turgutreis Günbatımı, Giritli Teyze, Kabakum Plajı Akyarlar, Kemer, Gümüşlük, Gerenkuyu, Çukurbük, Mazı, Gümbet, Kumbahçe, Yelken Kulüp and Bitez.

Mayor Tamer Mandalinci stated that, due to the intense demand from residents and with the support of benefactors, 2,326 sunbeds have been purchased and are being placed on public beaches. He said, “We consider every request and suggestion from our residents. Due to the intense demand from our city dwellers, we have started placing sunbeds back on public beaches. These sunbeds are for the common use of all of us, and it is important to protect them so everyone can use them comfortably. We ask everyone to be considerate and not damage the sunbeds. We expect our residents to use the sunbeds and umbrellas appropriately to help us provide long-term service.”.

We hope our residents will use the sunbeds and umbrellas appropriately to help us maintain them for long-term service.”

The Beach Unit of the Support Services Directorate announced that additional sunbeds would be placed on other public beaches before the upcoming 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday. Apart from specific areas operated by Belediye Inc., sunbeds will be free of charge on all public beaches.
