KEEPING BODRUM’S SHORES CLEAN: ONGOING BEACH MAINTENANCE BY THE MUNICIPALITY

Bodrum Municipality continues its cleaning and maintenance efforts on public beaches and popular coves throughout the district
As part of the cleaning and organization efforts, the municipality installed umbrellas in the Kabakum area of Müskebi Neighborhood. Following this, Bodrum Municipality’s company, Belediye Inc., removed the accumulated sand from the bottom of the Ulu Dere stream near the Müskebi Café, which has obstructed boat passage. This sand, matching the quality of nearby beach sand, was relocated to the Kabakum area by the Support Services Directorate. In the region, leveling and cleaning works were also carried out to correct the deformations caused by weather conditions.
Mayor Mandalinci Inspects the Area
In response to allegations on various news sites and social media that sewage-smelling dirty sand was dumped in the Kabakum area, Mayor Mandalinci, along with relevant department heads, conducted an inspection.
After the sand leveling process, irrigation and maintenance works were carried out, confirming that there was no odor, the sand had not turned to mud and it shared the same characteristics as the sand found on nearby coves and beaches.
Bodrum Municipality teams will continue their cleaning and maintenance efforts.
