Archaeological Dig Event for Kindergarten Students
Bodrum Municipality organized an event to introduce kindergarten students to the profession of archaeology and to provide information about museums as part of World Museums Week.
In collaboration with the Bodrum Municipality Parks & Gardens Directorate and Bodrum Municipality's kindergartens, an archaeological dig event was held at the Umurça Park Archaea-Park.
The event featured a race where children searched for miniature replicas of significant artifacts, such as amphoras and other ancient items from Bodrum’s history, hidden beneath the sand in specially prepared areas. The aim was to teach archaeology and introduce the profession in a fun and engaging way. The students excitedly handed over the artifacts they discovered to their teachers.
At the end of the event, the students were given the artifacts they found as gifts.
