GREEN LEARNING: BODRUM AGRICULTURE PARK WELCOMES HUNDREDS OF STUDENTS

540 Students Visit Bodrum Agriculture Park in One Week


The Bodrum Municipality's Etrim Garaova Agriculture Park, planned and implemented in 2019 by the Bodrum Municipality, is attracting significant attention from students.

Opening its doors to students to examine natural production activities in Bodrum, The Bodrum Municipality's Etrim Garaova Agriculture Park was visited by 540 students from across the Bodrum Peninsula in just one week.

Between May 13th and 17th, students from Çiftlik Mustafa Yazıcı Primary School, Bitez Gülümser Mehmet Danacı Primary School, Mumcular Fuat Erten Primary School, Bahçeşehir College Bodrum Campus and Bodrum Final Academy Middle School toured the Etrim Garaova Agriculture Park. In the center, students visited the İsmail Hakkı Tonguç Agriculture School and Museum as well to learn about agricultural tools and equipment.

Officials from the Agricultural Services Directorate hosted the students, providing them with information on lavender cultivation, beekeeping, the historical significance of agriculture in the region, agricultural materials donated by villagers to the agricultural school and activities in the museum. Having toured the Agriculture School and Museum, students had the opportunity to examine natural production activities.

The visits concluded with a tour of the lavender garden and nomad tent (yörük çadırı).

The Agriculture School and Museum are open to everyone.

The Agriculture School and Museum, where Bodrum's agricultural history can be witnessed, are open to citizens and tour groups. To ensure safe and systematic school visits, an official request must be made to the Agricultural Services Directorate.
