BODRUM BOOK DAYS FAIR COMES TO AN END

Bodrum Book Days Conclude with Enthusiastic Participation


The theme of 'Reading Nature' defined the atmosphere of the Bodrum Book Days, held from January 27th to February 3rd, which ended with a strong turnout from book enthusiasts.

The last day of the Bodrum Book Festival, organized by Bodrum Municipality Culture Inc. and Gümüşlük Foundation Academy at the Herodot Cultural Center, was well-received by book enthusiasts.

On February 3rd, Saturday, Mayor Ahmet ARAS, Bodrum Municipality General Coordinator Emel ÇAKALOĞLU; Politician, Journalist and Author Mustafa Ali BALBAY, along with numerous citizens, participated in the closing programme.

The day commenced with a discussion titled 'Do Not Pick the Flowers' led by Author and Journalist Zeynep Oral, who eloquently intertwined the concepts of nature and femininity, engaging the audience with her insights.

Journalist and Author Timur SOYKAN and Barış İNCE shared experiences related to journalism in the interview 'Good Journalism, The Value of Genuine Journalism!'.

The Interview shifted to environmental matters in the discussion 'Can We Read Nature, Can We Write?' featuring Author Latife TEKİN as the honored guest of this year's Bodrum Book Days, alongside Author, Voice Actor and Host Yekta KOPAN. Mayor ARAS contributed his thoughts on nature during the discussion as well.

Being held for the first time in Bodrum and attracted great interest from citizens, Bodrum Book Days Fair concluded with plaque presentations, a group photo session and book signing events with the authors.
