PROTOCOL FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS FROM THE MUNICIPALITY
30.12.2023
Bodrum Municipality has forged a protocol with Bodrum Health Foundation catering to individuals with special needs.
A joint service protocol has been established between Bodrum Municipality and Bodrum Health Foundation for individuals with special needs. The protocol outlines the organization of activities and social events at the designated area, named Özgür Beach (Free Beach in Eng.), and the implementation of other related activities. It is agreed that all revenue generated from the designated area covered by the protocol will belong to the foundation.
Under this protocol, Bodrum Health Foundation gains a five-year usage right to the area west of Bitez beach, offering an opportunity for disadvantaged individuals and their families to access the sea, beach amenities, and engage in sports and water activities.
The protocol ceremony, held at the Bodrum Promotion Foundation (BOTAV), was attended by Mayor Ahmet Aras, Bodrum Health Foundation Chairman Numan Balaban and board members.
Numan Balaban, President of Bodrum Health Foundation, expressed during the ceremony at Bitez Özgür Plaj: "We aim to foster a love for sports among disadvantaged individuals here, be it rowing, sailing or other sports activities. The disadvantaged siblings shall not only engage in sports but also contribute to the foundation. We extend our sincere gratitude to the municipality."
Mayor Ahmet Aras shared his thoughts on the signed protocol: "This protocol between Bodrum Municipality and Bodrum Health Foundation marks Özgür (Free) Beach in Bitez as a collaborative service project. It will provide both financial support for the foundation and a conducive environment for disadvantaged individuals. I extend my heartfelt thanks, on behalf of the people of Bodrum, to the Bodrum Municipal Council for approving this joint service project for five years."
