GREENSPACE RENOVATION WORKS OF THE MUNICIPALITY

Bodrum Municipality is actively pursuing tree pruning works as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance greenspace aesthetics and ecological balance throughout the district.
Municipal teams under the Parks & Green Spaces Directorate are systematically conducting ground-level pruning of tree branches on central medians. This initiative is designed to eliminate visibility obstructions for drivers, thereby ensuring improved traffic safety within the city. Simultaneously, weed clearing operations in green areas and parks are in progress.
As part of the undertaken efforts, pruning was carried out on palm trees along Atatürk Avenue, a key artery in Bodrum experiencing high traffic volume.
Pruning Completed for 631 Trees
The extensive pruning encompassed 264 palm trees, 26 stone pine trees, and 1 mulberry tree between the Bodrum District Police Department and the OASIS Shopping Mall overpass. Furthermore, between Ortakent Junction and Bitez Junction, 178 palm trees and 162 oleanders underwent pruning.
Additionally, teams executed pruning activities based on landscaping arrangements for trees in the vicinity of public institutions and their surrounding areas.
These ongoing initiatives not only contribute to ecological equilibrium but also enhance the visual appeal of the urban landscape. Bodrum Municipality remains committed to creating a harmonious and visually pleasing environment for its residents.
