Bodrum Welcomes Mandarin Week with "Journey from Green to Orange" Exhibition

Bodrum Municipality, in collaboration with the local community, proudly inaugurated the "Journey from Green to Orange" exhibition at OASIS Mall in Bitez, marking the beginning of the Bodrum Mandarin Week festivities.

The "Journey from Green to Orange" exhibition, showcasing the artistic dedication of those enamored with the Bodrum Peninsula, welcomed visitors at the OASIS Art Gallery. The opening ceremony was attended by Mayor Ahmet Aras, Bodrum Municipality General Coordinator Emel Çakaloğlu, Bitez Neighborhood Head Seda Özgüçlü, the founder of Bodrum Yadigarı Erman Aras, artists and art enthusiasts.

The exhibition, featuring works by 30 artists, included paintings reflecting the natural beauty of mandarins, sculptures narrating their cultural importance, photographs capturing their flavor and aroma, as well as ceramics and graphics emphasizing their economic value.

Speaking at the exhibition, Mayor Ahmet Aras stated:

"Art is the sole realm to transport matter to infinity. When matter and art come together, it reaches larger audiences and attains infinity. The fusion of mandarin and art has significantly enriched the culture of Bodrum. I extend my thanks to all the artists for their contributions."

Following the speeches, Mayor Ahmet Aras presented participation certificates to the attendees.

The Mandarin-themed art exhibition will be open for the visit until Saturday, December 23.

Various Events during Mandarin Week

Activities planned for the Bodrum Mandarin Week including:

Mandarin Harvest in Our Schools: Between December 18-22, Bitez Gülümser Mehmet Danacı Middle School, Dereköy Ahmet Zeki Büyükkuşoğlu Primary School, and Ortakent Kerem Aydınlar Middle School will participate in the "Mandarin Harvest in Our Schools" event.

Mandarin and Vinegar Making Workshop: On Wednesday, December 20, at 14:00, a Mandarin and Vinegar Making Workshop will be conducted by Pınar Güney at Bitez TARKO Mandarin Orchard.

Bodrum Mandarin Festival: The event finale on Sunday, December 24, from 10:00 to 18:30 at Bitez Village Square, under the theme of Bodrum Mandarin Festival, will include a procession, harvest activities, folk dances, various contests and will be hosted by Presenter Ateş.

Aycan Adalı and Aykoç Band during the event will perform on the stage for visitors.
