BODRUM TAKES ITS PLACE AT THE TTI IZMIR FAIR

The 17th TTI Izmir International Tourism Trade Fair & Congress opened its doors on Thursday, December 7th, marking the annual convergence of global tourism professionals. Bodrum, a flagship Turkish tourism destination, showcased its charm at this premier international tourism platform, which has become Turkey's largest.

Supported by Bodrum Municipality, Bodrum Promotion Foundation (BOTAV) and organized by Bodrum Chamber of Commerce (BODTO), the Bodrum booth brought together tourism professionals.

The opening cocktail of the Bodrum booth was attended by Mayor Ahmet Aras, Former Deputy Governor of Izmir Cumhur Güven Taşbaşı, BODTO Council Chairman İlhan Ersan, BODTO Board Chairman Mahmut Serdar Kocadon, Council Deputy Chairman Sinan Cingöz, Council Members Toros Demirdöven, Murat Pahna, İzzet Göksel Esen, Zeyyat Aybey, Accommodation Sector Committee Chairman Yasemin Akpınar, Committee Deputy Chairman Alişir Şahin, IMEAK DTO Bodrum Branch President Orhan Dinç, Bodrum Municipality General Coordinator Emel Çakaloğlu, Municipal Council Members, TÜRSAB Bodrum BTK Chairman Yüksel Arslan, BODER Chairman Ömer Faruk Dengiz, Bodrum Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen Chairman Erdoğan Başeymez, journalists and numerous tourism professionals.

Mayor Aras: "Bodrum is the window opening to the West."

Expressing his sentiments during the opening cocktail, Mayor Ahmet Aras stated, " Bodrum embraced tourism in the 1960s. From the 60s to the present, my gratitude goes to all who have contributed to tourism in Bodrum. Bodrum has reached this point through dedicated effort and struggle. Bodrum serves as a window to the West, not only with its natural beauty and historical assets but also with its contemporary, modern and Atatürkist human presence. Therefore, Bodrum's prominence in tourism is no coincidence. As the local government, we will strive to provide even more support to our tourism professionals in the future."

Following the speeches, Mayor Aras presented thank-you plaques to the chambers and NGOs supporting the organization.
