INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES CELEBRATED IN BODRUM

As part of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3rd, a series of events were organized in Bodrum. In a special evening organized by the Municipality and attended by Mayor Ahmet Aras, individuals with disabilities enjoyed a night filled with with an entertaining programme.
On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Bodrum Municipality conducted visits to students with special needs. Municipal officials paid visits to special education schools in the district, engaging with students and administrators.
At the Mehmet Efe Sports Hall in Bitez Gülümser Mehmet Danacı Primary School, a programme for the awareness of International Day of Persons with Disabilities featured dance performances and musical presentations prepared by individuals with disabilities, receiving great acclaim.
Individuals with disabilities had a joyful time at the Musgebi Event Center during a programme organized by Bodrum Municipality's Directorate of Culture & Social Affairs in celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Speaking at the event held the previous evening, Mayor Ahmet Aras stated, "Sharing this moment with you not only makes us happy but is also of great importance in understanding your problems and being aware of your needs. Assisting disadvantaged groups is the responsibility of local governments. If you have any concerns, we are always ready to talk to your representatives, talk to your families – we are here for you." The evening, filled with a sincere and enjoyable atmosphere, saw Mayor Aras attending in activities alongside individuals with disabilities.
