BODRUM MUNICIPALITY ORGANIZES -POLITICAL SCHOOL- PROGRAMME

WOMEN DECLARE, 'WE ARE STRONG TOGETHER!'
In collaboration with Bodrum City Council Women's Assembly, Bodrum Women's Solidarity Association, and Women Candidates Support Association Ankara Branch (KA.DER), the Municipality of Bodrum organized the Political School program to facilitate active participation of women in politics.
The 2nd edition of the Political School Programme, organized by Bodrum Municipality - Women & Family Services Directorate, took place on Wednesday, November 15th, at Bodrum Chamber of Maritime Trade (BODTO) with broad participation from women in all neighborhoods.
Representing Mayor Ahmet Aras, Deputy Mayor Ummahan Yurt, Lütfiye Kelleci Birer and Leyla Meltem Ersan from KA-DER Ankara Branch, Figan Erozan from Bodrum Women's Solidarity Association, members of Bodrum City Council Women's Assembly, press members, and women attended the programme.
The comprehensive discussions at the program covered conditions for candidacy in roles like neighborhood headship and municipal council membership, the importance of women with an equality perspective in participation and communication methods to be followed during the election process.
At the end of the programme, women candidates aspiring for municipal council membership and headmanship in local elections introduced themselves. Women concluded the meeting by joining hands, declaring 'Women are strong together' with the slogan.
