EXHIBITIONS CELEBRATING THE REPUBLIC'S PRIDE IN BODRUM
Our aspiration to celebrate the 100th year of the Republic with magnificent contemporary art events is rooted in the words of the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who asserted, "Success in the fine arts is the most indisputable evidence of the success of all revolutions. Unfortunately, nations that cannot succeed in this field will always be lacking the title of 'advanced civilization,' despite all their other achievements."

The concept behind our centennial celebration of the Republic's foundation is the vision of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who, a century ago, after liberating the Anatolian lands oppressed under foreign occupation at great cost, established the Republic of Türkiye under exceptionally challenging circumstances with the ambition to 'Surpass the Level of Contemporary Civilizations.' The events and exhibitions that embody the commitment of the people of Türkiye to nurture culture and make significant strides in contemporary art shall serve as a symbol of the Republic throughout Bodrum Peninsula until January.

Curated by Prof. Dr. Kıymet Giray, the "Republic's Pride Art Events," specially prepared for the Republic's 100th anniversary, will introduce contemporary art as a new chapter in Bodrum's history, richly written with art and culture. The exhibitions, accompanied by conferences, will enhance the public's awareness of the Republic's 100-year milestone, the flourishing of culture and art during the Republic era and contribute to increasing their prominence and awareness. These exhibitions will bring a dynamic facet to our city, instill a love for art in our young generation and, most importantly, serve as a poignant reminder of the accomplishments of our Republic to all our citizens.
