A NEW KINDERGARTEN OPENED BY BODRUM MUNICIPALITY

OPENING OF THE 100TH YEAR REPUBLIC PRESCHOOL

The opening of the 100th Year Republic Preschool, completed by Bodrum Municipality, was celebrated with a large turnout.

Mayor Ahmet Aras, deputy mayors, the protocol of the CHP Bodrum District Presidency, Çırkan Neighborhood Headman Coşkun Ünlü, council members, municipal department heads, teachers, students, citizens and press members attended the preschool opening, held on Timurhan Street in Çırkan Neighborhood.

During the opening ceremony, children were treated to special cotton candy and an animation team was on hand to entertain the youngsters.

The event commenced with a moment of silence and the national anthem. Following this, various messages from the invited dignitaries were read. Çırkan Neighborhood Headman Coşkun Ünlü took the opportunity to extend his gratitude to all those who had contributed to the establishment of this preschool.

Deputy Mayor İbrahim Akbaş shared details about the school, mentioning that it became operational after the work that started in November 2022. Expressing his thanks to all who contributed, Deputy Mayor Akbaş wished the school well for Bodrum.

Mayor Ahmet Aras, in his speech, expressed the sadness over the loss of children's lives in the conflict between Israel and Palestine, highlighting that they are there for the children and the future.

Mayor Aras continued: "We are here for our children and our future. Due to the pandemic, we had to postpone some of our projects. During this period, as the municipality, we focused on addressing the community's immediate needs. We are now gradually bringing the projects we had envisioned during that time to life."

Mayor Aras also mentioned that four years ago, they opened a children's club in Peksimet, followed by the establishment of daycare centers in Konacık and Mumcular. He expressed his gratitude to everyone who had contributed to the construction of this preschool, stating, “Today, we have provided a facility that reflects the values and needs of the Çırkan community and our children.”

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Mayor Ahmet Aras, along with protocol members and teachers, cut the opening ribbon and took a tour of the school together.

Mayor Aras and his team later visited local businesses in Çırkan Hüseyin Kuru Market Area, conducting inspections in the market area.
