Ahmet Aras, the Mayor of Bodrum, during the weekend, conducted fieldwork by visiting the Turgutreis and Karaova markets and engaging in consultations with local salesmen and citizens.


On Saturday morning, Mayor Aras went to the Turgutreis Covered Market, where he met with market vendors and citizens. He also held discussions with businesses around the market area. The Mayor was accompanied by local mukhtars (neighborhood heads), deputy mayors, council members and relevant municipality department directors.

Providing citizens with detailed explanations about road and water-related processes, Mayor Aras shared information about the near completion of sewage infrastructure projects—a vital service for ensuring a clean marine environment in Bodrum.

Mayor Aras further proceeded to Bahçelievler Neighborhood and Kadıkalesi, inspecting an ongoing sports and recreational area project in Bahçelievler, as well as a parking facility established by Bodrum Municipality in the clothing market area.

During his visit to Turgutreis Improvement and Conservation Association, Mayor Aras engaged in idea exchange with association members and conducted inspections at Turgutreis Business Center and Square Project site. He also made on-site assessments of ongoing efforts in Akyarlar Neighborhood and Kemer Mevkii (region), holding discussions with representatives of pertinent institutions and organizations to address issues.

Mayor Aras remained in the area until the evening, interacting with citizens at Akyarlar beach and harbor vicinity.

Meeting the Residents of Karaova

On Sunday, Mayor Aras, together with local neighborhood leaders, deputy mayors and relevant department directors, visited Karaova Covered Market. He conversed with traders and residents, discussing projects in response to their demands and highlighting ongoing initiatives.

At the Agricultural Services Directorate, Mayor Aras engaged in discussions with deputy mayors, relevant department directors, and local neighborhood leaders, facilitating an exchange of ideas concerning completed, ongoing, and upcoming projects in the Karaova region.
