The Field Solution & Coordination teams, affiliated with Bodrum Municipality's Directorate of Press, Publications & Public Relations, continue their efforts to promptly respond to citizens' issues.


As one of the effective units of the municipality, the Field Solution Team, operating under the Directorate of Press, Publications & Public Relations, has held meetings with 10,724 citizens in the last six months, examining their requests, demands and complaints, and then forwarding them to the relevant departments.

The teams establish warm contact and face-to-face communication with citizens and have been instrumental in resolving nearly 2,000 out of 2,350 requests and complaints. Following the receipt of requests and complaints, the municipal teams also conduct surveys. Most recently, they conducted interviews with 5,038 citizens to evaluate the services provided by the municipality. In cases of dissatisfaction, new requests are generated and communicated to the relevant departments.

Providing Pre-Information to Citizens

The Field Solution and Coordination Team, especially in relation to road closures, provides public information and also shares details about infrastructure and asphalt works carried out in Bodrum. During these informative visits, citizens are provided with brief information about when the work will be done, where exactly it will take place, who will be involved and how long it is expected to take.

‘Welcome Baby Project’

As part of the ‘Welcome Baby Project’, the field solution teams participate in the happiness of families who have recently become parents by presenting them with a set of essential items for the newborn. This gesture aims to contribute to the families' budgets. As part of the project, the most recent visit included 204 baby homes, where greetings from the Mayor Ahmet Aras were conveyed along with the presentation of the gifts.

Support to Earthquake Victims

Following the earthquake that occurred on February 6, the municipality opened its doors to earthquake victims who lost their homes and businesses and had to temporarily relocate to different cities. The Municipal Field Solution Team actively participated in various forms of aid.

The field teams provided information and guidance to 4,034 earthquake victims who contacted the municipality for transportation and accommodation needs from the earthquake-stricken area. They accompanied the victims in matters related to transportation, lodging and communication with relevant institutions, contributing to the resolution of their issues.

Prominent Role in Disaster Response

During 2023, the Field Solution and Coordination Team played a significant role in 53 different house and business fires that occurred in Bodrum for various reasons. They visited citizens, collected their requests and complaints, and directed them to the respective departments. Additionally, they visited 41 homes and businesses due to heavy rainfall in 2023, gathering the requests of the affected citizens. The municipality extended support within its means to minimize the hardships faced by the residents.

Visits to Special Needs Individuals and Citizens Over 65

The Field Solution and Coordination team also visits citizens with special needs living in the district. The teams gather requests and complaints, and ensure that they are directed to the relevant units for follow-up.

As part of visits to citizens over the age of 65, the team recently visited 427 individuals in Gündoğan, Türkbükü, Gölköy, and Bitez neighborhoods to listen to their requests and wishes.

Conducting Survey Studies

The Field Solution Team, under the Bodrum Municipality's Directorate of Press, Publications & Public Relations, conducts survey studies by going door-to-door in various neighborhoods during citizen visits.

During the survey, the team conducted an interview with 406 citizens about the use of Atatürk Avenue in Mumcular Neighborhood and Karaabat Avenue in Karaova Neighborhood as one-way streets. Moreover, while visiting 462 tradesmen with the presence of Press, Publication, and Public Relations Director Kenan Apaydın in Bahçelievler Industrial Site, Yalıkavak Industrial Zone, Türkkuyusu Industrial Zone and Yokuşbaşı Industrial Zone, they received 147 requests and complaints.

During the month of Ramadan, the Field Solution Teams also participated in the Iftar Dinner Program organized in Dağbelen, Torba, Türkbükü, Gölköy, Güvercinlik, Yakaköy, Türkmen, Çamlık, Armutçuk, Gökpınar, Pınarlıbelen, Dirmil, Yalıkavak, Çarşı, Koyunbaba, Turgutreis, Gümüşlük, Dereköy and Gümbet neighborhoods.

In Yalıkavak and Çarşı neighborhoods, they visited 527 shopkeepers, collecting 269 requests and complaints, and directed them to relevant departments through the Flexcity program.

Upon receiving requests and complaints at the Solution Desk, affiliated with the Press, Publication, and Public Relations Department, the teams conducted fieldwork in Kumbahçe and Umurça neighborhoods, identifying and relaying any adverse incidents to the relevant departments.

The citizens living in Türkkuyusu, Umurca, Ortakent, Kumköy, Pınarlıbelen, Yeniköy, Bitez, Gündoğan, Akyarlar, Peksimet, Koyunbaba, Turgutreis, Tepecik, Kemer, Mumcular, Bahçeyaka, Gökpınar, Çamlık and Sazköy neighborhoods were visited by the Mayor Aras and the Field Solution Team. All the requests and complaints gathered during these visits are communicated to the relevant departments and are being monitored through daily, weekly, and monthly reports. The results of these reports are evaluated and shared with the respective departments.

These friendly visits and conversations with the citizens will continue to be carried out in all neighborhoods of Bodrum as part of a specific program.
