MUNICIPALITY PROVIDES HEALTH SERVICES FOR STREET ANIMALS

As Bodrum Municipality continues its efforts to improve the living conditions of street animals, a health service program has been implemented for street animals in Gümüşlük and Ortakent neighborhoods.

The Directorate of Veterinary Affairs of Bodrum Municipality conducted procedures such as microchipping, internal and external parasite control, and rabies vaccination for street animals in Gümüşlük and Ortakent neighborhoods. The implementation is important for identifying the animals, protecting them from parasites, and safeguarding them against dangerous diseases such as rabies.

Sterilization Program Initiated

In addition to microchipping and vaccination procedures, the municipality has created a program for unsterilized street animals through the collaboration of concerned citizens. The program aims to direct animal owners to sterilization procedures through an online appointment system. The Veterinary Affairs Directorate of Bodrum Municipality aims to control the reproduction of street animals and ensure a better quality of life for them.

Ongoing Mobile Health Services

Working in collaboration with animal lovers using a mobile health vehicle, the Veterinary Affairs Directorate of Bodrum Municipality provides health services for street animals in various neighborhoods in an organized manner. The mobile health vehicle, regularly utilized by veterinarians, takes care of the maintenance and treatment of street animals.

Microchipping and vaccination procedures for street animals will be comprehensively carried out throughout Bodrum in collaboration with volunteers.
