A camp was organized at Garaova Agricultural Park by the Directorate of Agricultural Services of Bodrum Municipality as part of Father's Day celebrations. The camp, which started on Saturday, was attended by 27 fathers and 32 children, and the children had quality time with their fathers.

At the beginning of the event, the children set up their tents with their fathers and then gathered in the nomadic tent in the park. Various activities were organized during the camp, including competitions that required coordination, concentration, focus, timing, communication and teamwork, enhancing the spirit of collaboration.

Fathers and children had fun playing games such as marbles, balancing games and word searches, while teams competed to build the tallest tower using A4 papers, creating colorful scenes. After the games, the participants of the Fathers' Camp gathered at Bodrum Municipality Inc. - Bodrum Farm in Etrim for dinner and ended the day with an outdoor cinema experience.

On the second day of the camp, the participants started the day with a hike in the foothills of Etrim Kale Mountain, followed by team games focusing on balance and concentration. Later, children and fathers also participated in a flower planting activity.

In the final activity of the day, the participants enjoyed water games and had a water fight using water guns, creating excitement not only for the children but also for the fathers.

Having visited the camp, Tayfun Yılmaz, the Deputy Mayor of Bodrum, congratulated all fathers on Father's Day and explained how the Garaova Agricultural Park Project started in his speech, saying:

"Bodrum is known for its sea, sand, and sun, but we aim to introduce a different aspect of Bodrum. With the leadership of our Mayor Ahmet Aras, we, as the Agricultural Services Department, have implemented and continue to implement many projects in the Garaova region. Here, we host students from different cities in Türkiye for agricultural camps of five-day periods. We provide theoretical and practical training on topics such as greenhouse farming, plant production, animal production, organic farming, and medicinal aromatic plant cultivation, conducted by our own agricultural engineers."

Emphasizing the importance of agriculture affected by climate change and various factors, Yılmaz stated that the Agricultural Services Department will continue its efforts to raise awareness and thanked the camp participants, stating that such activities shall continue.
