VETERINARY SERVICES MOBILIZED
A stray kitten hit by a vehicle in Bodrum was taken in for treatment by the Municipal Veterinary Services Department.
Upon receiving a report of a stray kitten being hit by a car in Bitez Neighborhood, the teams from the Bodrum Municipality Veterinary Services Department promptly responded to the scene with an emergency intervention vehicle.
Upon arrival at the scene thanks to the concerned citizens' report, the teams took the injured kitten and transported it to the Bodrum Municipality Temporary Shelter and Rehabilitation Center for Street Animals located in Torba Neighborhood.
The municipality's veterinary doctors provided initial treatment and examinations for the kitten, determining that it had swelling due to the impact. The kitten was then placed under medical care. It was determined that there was no immediate life-threatening danger, and the municipality personnel named the kitten "Çakıl."
The citizens who witnessed the accident and reported it to the municipal teams expressed their disapproval towards the driver who hit the kitten and then fled the scene.
