PHILOSOPHY SYMPOSIUM TAKES PLACE IN BODRUM

On April 24th, Monday, the "Blue Anatolia Philosophy Symposium" with the title "Philosophy for Life" was held at the Herodotus Cultural Center in Bodrum. The symposium, supported by the Bodrum Municipality, shall continue for three days.
Bilgehan Bayar, the Bodrum Governor; Ahmet Aras, the Mayor of Bodrum; Hüseyin Toprak, the Director of Muğla Provincial Culture & Tourism; Hatice Nur Erkızan, the President of the Aristotle Philosophy Association, interested parties and citizens attended the first day of the symposium.
The symposium, which is of great importance in terms of the cultural, historical and scientific accumulation and recognition at the national and international levels, carried by the rich philosophy that Muğla's Oinoanda Ancient City has carried from the past to the present and still continues, was held to allow individuals to cultivate themselves and the society they live in.
Having spoken at the symposium, Ahmet Aras, the Mayor of Bodrum stated that this geography, where we live, has hosted many important folks in history in terms of philosophy, science, and art, and therefore he strongly desired to conduct a study on philosophy in Bodrum. He expressed his pleasure in the philosophy symposium being held for this reason.
Prof. Dr. Tansu Açık, Prof. Dr. Oktay Taftalı, Dr. Cengiz Çevik, Dr. Nilüfer Akçay, Dr. Kağan Kahveci, Hüseyin Köktürk, Alihan Şahin, Assoc. Dr. Aylin Çankaya and Hasan Gençcan participated as speakers in the symposium, which is organized by the Aristotle Philosophy Association and shall continue for the next three days.
