HATAY ARSUZ FRIENDSHIP TENT & CONTAINER CITY SERVES EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS
Comprehensive works are being carried out for the earthquake victims of Arsuz in Hatay province, where numerous reliefs have been delivered with the support of volunteers since the first day of the earthquake.

The capacity of the Hatay Arsuz Tent & Container City, established by Bodrum Municipality to provide earthquake victims with healthy living conditions and basic major needs, continues to be increased as sheltering capacity works are ongoing. With the addition of 50 tents and 6 containers to the tent city, a total of 127 tents and 35 containers are currently hosting citizens. With the coordination of a team from Bodrum, all basic needs have been provided for a total of 642 earthquake victims sheltered in the tent-container city.

In addition to accommodation, with 6 mobile kitchens providing 3 square meals a day, 12 toilets, a preschool consisting of 2 classrooms, a pharmacy, and 4 showers, earthquake victims are being served in about 20,000 square meters of land. 25 vehicles are ready to serve the earthquake victims in any case as well. A volunteer medical doctor and a veterinarian have been serving in the region along with 58 personnel. Additionally, 12 containers and 4 tents have been set up for the administrative staff and personnel for hold emergency meetings on accommodation. Meanwhile, donations collected in Bodrum continue to be transferred to the affected region due to the earthquake.

In order to improve children's mental and psychological states, forget the traumatic process, and provide active time, events are being frequently in the established mobile preschool container frequently. Recently, a volunteer animation team organized fun activities for earthquake victim kids while 4 psychologists and a preschool teacher working in the Ministry of National Education accompanied the events. Kids had a lot of fun during the organized activities.

Having assigned Tayfun Yılmaz, the Deputy Mayor of Bodrum for the coordination works in Arsuz, Ahmet Aras, the Mayor of Bodrum has göne to Malatya and Elazığ after the return to Bodrum, which are still in the earthquake zone. Mr. Mayor Aras, accompanied by Veli Ağbaba, the vice chairman of CHP and the MP from Malatya; İbrahim Akkaya, the vice chairman of  Bodrum Chamber of Commerce, and Haluk Cömert, the Mayor of Arapkir Municipality met with earthquake victims in Melekbaba Neighborhood of Malatya and wished them well and recovering.
