BODRUM MUNICIPALITY STRENGTHENED THE SERVICE VEHICLE FLEET WITH ADDITIONS

MAYOR ARAS, “THE MUNICIPAL SERVICE VEHICLES INVENTORY ARE BEING EXTENDED ECO-FRIENDLY VEHICLES WITH THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY

Bodrum Municipality has announced that 15 new eco-friendly and energy efficient service vehicles have been added to its vehicle fleet. The Municipal cleaning vehicles fleet has been extended with 15 new service vehicles.

With the addition of new municipal service vehicles to the vehicle fleet by the ‘Directorate of Cleaning Affairs’ of Bodrum Municipality, it is aimed to provide a cleaner, faster and higher quality service to the people of Bodrum. With these vehicles brought to the city, time, labor and cost savings will be achieved.

While the new added municipal service vehicles were presented to the local press at the Bodrum Municipality Square, Ahmet Aras, the Mayor of Bodrum; Tayfun Yılmaz, the Deputy Mayor of Bodrum and the directors of related municipal departments examined the new vehicles added to the municipal service fleet in details. After the vehicles were examined, Ahmet Aras, the Mayor of Bodrum took the new municipal service vehicles for a test drive as well. The Mayor Aras and the people accompanying him were informed in details regarding the use of the vehicles by the personnel of the related municipal department.

Mayor Aras stated that they will continue to provide the municipal cleaning service with the latest technology and eco-friendly vehicles and said:

“We have been managing to provide cleaning service in Bodrum for 3.5 years. I appreciate the efforts the colleagues put into this work. The population of Bodrum is expected to increase significantly more than ever. Needless to say, the amount and the volume of waste are constantly changing in Bodrum. In this regard our colleagues are trying to manage the Rates of this change. Now we are trying to integrate new technologies into our the way of providing service to our people. We continue to work towards the principles of climate change and the ‘European Union - Green Deal’. As Bodrum Municipality, we are adding electric vehicles, electric trash taxi, electrical vacuum sweeping vehicle and additional eletric vehicles to our inventory. We are aiming to provide more quality of service at less cost. The vehicles here you see at this very moment are all state-of-the-art vehicles. We do have vehicles, which both collect trash and wash trash containers at the same time. They have the functions of both recycling and reusing the water in tank. The Electric road washing & sweeping vehicle will be in service especially in the narrow streets of Bodrum. We have 3 electrical vacuum sweeping vehicles.”
