Groundbreaking Ceremony For ‘Karaova Day Care Center’ with a capacity of 4 classrooms, sponsored by the philanthropist Nazmi Canbaz was held with the support of the Municipality of Bodrum.

The Groundbreaking ceremony for the ‘Karaova Day Care Center’, held in Karaova District was attended by Suat Özcan, the CHP Muğla MP, Ahmet Aras, Mayor of Bodrum, Halil Karahan, District President of CHP , Naim Uğur , the District Director of National Education, Nevzat Kanber, District President of İYİ Party, members of city council, the Deputy Mayors, Heads of the Municipal Directorates, Hacer Foggo, the Coordinator of the ‘CHP-Poverty Solidarity Office’, Ahmet Cemil Gündüz, the Chairman of the Mukhtars Association, Muhammet Karademir, the Mukhtar of Karaova along with the the other mukhtars of the region, Obahan Canbaz, the son of the philanthropist Nazmi Canbaz and the citizens.

District Head of National Education, Naim Uğur, CHP Bodrum District Head, Halil Karahan, DÜZGÜN Party District Head of Bodrum, Nevzat Kanber, Council Members, Deputy Municipality Heads, Municipality Officers, CHP Poverty Solidarity Bureau Coordinator Hacer Foggo, Head of Mukhtars Association Ahmet Cemil Gündüz, Karaova Mukhtar Muhammet Karademir and other muhtars of the region, Obahan Canbaz, son of benefactor Nazmi Canbaz, and citizens attended the meeting.

"The Environment, Nature and People Must Be Invested In"

Having expressed his happiness to be there on that beautiful day for such a good charity cause, Ahmet Aras, Mayor of Bodrum mentioned how valuable this donation of the Canbaz family is. Aras mentioned that the donations made are not a blessing but an act of giving back to society what has been earned by society. Having emphasized the need to invest in the environment, nature and people, Ahmet Aras, Mayor of Bodrum said in his speech:

“The most valuable investment is of course the investment in our future, namely in our children. The Researches show that education begins at birth. It has been scientifically proven that pre-school education should start from the age of 3. Both our Ministry of National Education and private organisations and more recently, local governments have been in an great endeavour regarding this sacred cause. Preschool education has great advantages. whether you start the education from the age of 3, you shall undoubtingly grow into a useful individual for the country and nation.”

Having said that that a country's future is secured by investment in children, Suat Özcan, MP of CHP-Muğla emphasized that Bodrum has become very active in terms of investments, social policies, arts and tourism since the Mayorship of Ahmet Aras begun. Özcan made the following statements:

“Ever since the Mayorship of Ahmet Aras begu, Bodrum has become very active in terms of investments, social policies, arts and tourism. In this regard, thanks to the initiative of these investments, this motivation is spreading. A country's future is of course secured by the investments in children. It is of great value to the people residing in Karaova, Bodrum and the children of the families, for which it is a great need of service, that karaova will have such a day care center. I do thank Ahmet Aras, our Mayor, the bureau of planning and Project, the philanthropist Nazmi Canbaz and his family. May all of your efforts yield a positive outcome.”

After the opening ceremony speeches, the entire protocol got on the stage and pressed the button for the groundbreaking of the ‘day care center’. The opening ceremony of the day-care center, which is scheduled to be built by the 2nd period of the 2022-2023 school year, continued with the concert of the local folk musician Ender Kasal and the service of lokma.

After the groundbreaking ceremony, Aras, Mayor of Bodrum and other guests visited the Mumcular Sitare Özkan Multi-Program Anatolian High School.
