THE SERVICE, MUNICIPAL CAFÉS PROVIDED IS GAINING APPRECIATION

MOBILE CAFÉS ARE IN SERVICE

With the purpose of providing affordable and quality service to the public, the number of the cafés and restaurants operated by Bodrum Municipality Inc. is continuing to rise. The Mobile municipal cafes, located on the no-facility established shores are gaining appreciation by the people residing in Bodrum.

After the ‘Giritli Teyze Mobile Cafe’ in Kumbahçe neighbourhood of İçmeler district, which was recently put into service by Bodrum Belediye Inc., the number of the municipal café & restaurants across the peninsula has increased to 40.

Having stated that they have carried out many important projects since 2019 and they have been working to put many significant projects into practice with the understanding of social municipality, Ahmet Aras, the Mayor of Bodrum made the following statement regarding the cafés and restaurants within the ‘Belediye Inc.’: “We are working night and day to serve our people with the motivation of realizing precisely the way of thinking ‘social municipality’.”.

Ahmet Aras, Mayor of Bodrum stated that, they ensured to provide service under appropriate and reliable conditions in order to meet the needs of the people on the beaches, Mayor Aras added that they in this regard established mobile cafés in some districts as well as cafés and restaurants.

“The number of Mobile Cafés will increase to 10”

Indicating that the number of the mobile cafes will be increased to 10 at the beginning of the next season, Faruk Ulusoy, General Manager of ‘Bodrum Municipality Inc.’ said: “Among these, Cennet Cove, Küdür, Pateto Beach, Kadıkalesi, Koyunbaba and some seperated beaches will be the places, where these mobile cafes will be established. We currently have 40 businesses, including beach cafes, mobile cafes, food/beverage production facility. Through the ‘Food Production Facility License’ we’ve been issued, we also put into service a food facility, in which we produce hamburger meat, sigara böreği (turkish spring rolls) and meatballs, of which meat and liver we processed. In the near future, we shall also present raw meatballs and hamburger meat to our people for sale. Except 2 food engineers of ours, we are inspected by independent food inspectors every single month.”.

Caravan Park Will Be Established

Having mentioned the increase in the number of parking lots, Ulusoy said: “We started to operate the irregularly used area in Gumbet as a parking lot on summer season in a controlled and safe manner. We also put the area in the Camel Wrestling Arena as a bus parking lot into service. We will bring the Caravan Park area in the Gerenkuyu region into service, of which we have completed the works and it will be soon put into service. Therefore we shall solve the caravan problem next to the Gerenkuyu Café of Bodrum Municipality Inc.. In this regard, both caravan drivers and our people shall be able to benefit from the services provided on the beach in better conditions.”.

Showermatic Practice Started

Emphasizing that they carried out studies on water saving, Ulusoy said, “This year, for the first time, we started to put the showermatic practice into service in Yaliciftlik, Müskebi Café and Mahfel Café. As Bodrum Municipal Cafés & Restaurants, we provide 30 seconds of water usage in return of 1 TL. Thanks to this practice, huge amount of water has been saved for Bodrum. In some of our beach cafes, we provide sunbed rental services at affordable prices. We provide for daily use sunbed rental service to our guests for 20 TL in our beach cafés with pier and 10 TL in those, which does have none.”.

Free Wifi Hotspot Service in Municipal Cafés

Having stated that they offered up to 30 percent discount to citizens residing in Bodrum through the Bodrum App, Faruk Ulusoy, continued, “One of our goals here is to bring the people living in Bodrum to change their residence addresses to Bodrum so that they can benefit more from the state and provincial bank aids of Bodrum.We have received very positive feedback from Bodrum App. Accordingly, we shall have some other studies either such as accessing the menu through a QR code, ordering food/beverage through the application. Moreover, we have completed the infrastructure works of the free Wi-Fi Hotspot practice in all the municipal café. Our guests shall soon be able to benefit from this service.”.
