MUNICIPAL TEAMS STOPPED 421 CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES

As a result of the inspections carried out since June 1, 2022, when the rough construction activities were stopped; Bodrum Municipality teams have halted a total of 421 construction activities, which have continued their work in defiance of the ban.
With the circular of the ‘Ministry of Culture and Tourism’ dated 10.03.2015 and numbered 03, the start date of the ‘construction ban”, which is applied every year between May 15 and October 15, when the tourism activities intensify, was this year extended until June 17, 2022 with the letter numbered 2518820 of the ‘Muğla Governorship Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism’ – ‘Branch Office of Investment and Enterprises’. However, in line with some developments, this date has been extended to May 31.
Having increased the inspections since June 1, when the ban on construction started, the municipal police department teams of Bodrum evaluated the received complaints from the citizens as well as the routine inspections and sealed construction sites of the companies, which violated the ‘consturction ban’ within the scope of the tourism season, did not comply with the rules and continued to work non-stop.
As a result of the inspections they have carried out since June 1, the ‘Municipal Police Department’ teams of Bodrum stopped 421 construction works and fined 382 companies.
