Having Developed a ‘Smart Waste Collection - Management System’, Bodrum Municipality is carrying out a work for a more habitable Bodrum.

Having been implemented by the ‘Directorate of Cleaning Services’ of Bodrum Municipality in 2020, the ‘Smart Waste Collection - Management System’ has been modernized and developed to leave a cleaner environment for the people of Bodrum.

With the help of the RFID-System (Radio Frequency Identification Technology), developed within the scope of the ‘Smart Management System’-Project, sensor fitted dumpster-tracking system, waste truck-tracking system, ‘Clean City’-tracking system and street sweepers-tracking system, Bodrum Municipality shall be able to monitor the complaints & suggestions of the citizens recieved and provide the necessary feedbacks.Having ensured ‘daily dumpster performance monitoring’ and ‘waste truck-tracking’ within the scope of the ‘waste collection systems’, Bodrum Municipality is carrying out studies for quick and effective data acquisition.

Motion Sensor Cameras Are Being Set Up

Through the more efficient functioning system in the project by taking swift action, with the placement of the ‘solar powered motion sensored cameras’ at the locations chosen by the directorate; those, who throw wastes, which are not suitable for recycling and those, who shed rubble shall be detected by the personnel of the related department. Moreover this implementation of the project shall also enable imposing sanctions in accordance with the legislation.
