The culture and tourism delegation from the city of Budva, which is one of the favourite touristic coastal cities of Montenegro visited Bodrum Mayor Ahmet Aras in his office.

Delegation consisting of Budva municipality parliament speaker krsto Radovic, Budva Parliament member luka Lijesevic, Chairman of the municipal Board Miomir Pejovic, Nasional Touristic Organization Consultant Alem Dedeic, Budva Director of touristic organization Maja Lijesevic, President of Akademija Znanja Aleksandar Franeta, to Investment Advisor Nadja Lakovic, during their visit to Mayor Aras, Vice presidents Hüseyin Tutkun and İlknur Ülküm Seferoğlu were also present.

During the visit, the importance of the friendship bridge which will be established between the two tourism cities were discussed as well as the potential and similarities of Bodrum’s and Budva’s Tourism and economy were emphasized.

Discussing about the similarities between Bodrum and Budva, Mayor Aras with delegations’ presence stated that our culture and historical connections from the past have great advantage for the two cities and said;

 Montenegro is a country which I have visited many times and that I love very much. Our similar cultures and past historical ties are bringing us together also our economic and touristic interest being mutual we need to keep this friendly relation very close. Budva’s geography, culture and people show a lot of similarity to Bodrum’s. I can say that Budva is the pearl of the Adriatic. Bodrum is one of most important destinations in Turkey according to the world that’s why the beautiful people of these two cities coming together are the most natural thing.”

 After the speech of Mayor Aras, Budva Municipality Parliament Speaker Krsto Radovic said, “we hope to draw this friendship path together with our history, culture and economy. From our Bodrum visit we gained very good information. We look forward to seeing you as soon as possible.”

 After the visit a group photograph was taken. The delegation, which also visited Bodrum Governor Bilgehan Bayar then toured Bodrum Castle. It has been reported that the delegation will be in Bodrum for 2 days and will make a series of visits.
