CLEANING WORKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS ACTIVITIES CONTINUE IN MÜSKEBİ

Bodrum Municipality is carrying out cleaning works along Uludere in Müskebi in phases. Alongside clearing the stream, awareness-raising activities are being organised to encourage greater environmental responsibility.
Coordinated by Bodrum Municipality’s Cleaning Affairs Directorate, a comprehensive clean-up has been carried out along Uludere in Müskebi. The works cover approximately 2 km of the stream. Teams from Muğla Metropolitan Municipality’s Water and Sewerage Administration provided support with heavy machinery, while staff from Bodrum Municipality’s Cleaning Affairs Directorate and volunteers from MisGibi1Bodrum also took part.
The first phase of the stream-bed cleaning has been completed, with work on the remaining sections set to continue in stages. The overall operation is expected to be completed within two to three days.
Alongside the cleaning works, Bodrum Municipality’s Cleaning Affairs Directorate has undertaken awareness-raising activities to help protect Uludere and prevent environmental pollution.
As part of the initiative, labels encouraging people not to dump rubbish into the stream and to protect the surrounding environment were distributed to traders at the market next to Uludere, for display on their stalls. Informational leaflets promoting environmental awareness were also handed out to traders and shoppers.
