ROAD IMPROVEMENT WORKS CONTINUE IN YAKAKÖY AND DEREKÖY

Bodrum Municipality is continuing surface dressing works across the district as part of efforts to improve road safety and travelling conditions. The programme is being coordinated by the Directorate of Public Works and carried out by a contracted company on roads identified as priorities.
So far in 2026, a total of 297,818.70 square metres of surface dressing has been completed across approximately 59 road routes. Of this total, 211,241.31 square metres consisted of single-layer surface dressing, while 86,577.39 square metres received double-layer treatment.
Recent works have been completed on the road between Yakaköy and Dereköy and on the route linking Dereköy with İslamhaneleri. The works followed road preparation and are intended to provide safer and more comfortable access in the area.
Surface dressing will continue on streets and roads where infrastructure works have been completed and treatment has been identified as necessary. Bodrum Municipality is also continuing hot asphalt, concrete road, paving, maintenance and repair works across the district under its wider road improvement programme.
