BODRUM MUNICIPALITY RENEWS STREETS IN TRADITIONAL BLUE AND WHITE
09.10.2026
Bodrum Municipality is continuing maintenance, repair and painting works across the district to preserve the blue and white colours associated with Bodrum’s traditional architectural character. The programme is being carried out by the Painting and Decorating Unit of the Workshops Office under the Support Services Directorate.
As part of the works, kerbs and central reservations on streets and roads are being repainted in blue and white. Painting and decorating works are also being carried out at schools and Neighbourhood Head’s Office buildings.
Municipal teams are also repainting stairways, removing unauthorised writing and images from walls, and carrying out painting works on electricity substation buildings. The programme will continue on public walls, building façades and other shared spaces in line with the municipality’s scheduled maintenance programme, with a focus on preserving Bodrum’s visual identity and architectural character.
