SCHOOL CANTEENS CHECKED FOR LICENSING, HYGIENE AND FOOD SAFETY

Bodrum Municipality has carried out inspections of school canteens across the district following the start of the new academic year.
Municipal Police teams checked business licences, expiry dates on products offered for sale, hygiene conditions and compliance with relevant regulations. As part of the inspections, enforcement action was taken against seven canteens found to be operating without the required licence.
Expired products were also found on sale at two canteens. Inspection reports were issued and proceedings were initiated for referral to the Bodrum Municipal Executive Committee. Bodrum Municipality’s Municipal Police Department will continue school canteen inspections at regular intervals under its inspection programme.
