GUMBET COAST CLEANED ON WORLD CLEAN-UP DAY

A coastal clean-up was held in Gümbet as part of World Clean-up Day on 20 September, in cooperation between Bodrum Municipality and Misgibi1Bodrum.
The event brought together municipal teams and volunteers to collect waste along the coastline and raise awareness of environmental pollution. Bodrum Municipality Cleaning Affairs Director Serkan Kanik, 25 staff members from the directorate and 15 Misgibi1Bodrum volunteers took part. The group met in front of Gümbet Belediye Cafe before carrying out a coordinated clean-up along the seafront.
Nearly half a tonne of waste was collected during the approximately one-hour activity. The event also highlighted the importance of community participation in protecting Bodrum’s coastline and natural environment. Bodrum Municipality said environmental field activities and awareness initiatives would continue in the coming period.
